A young girl's Journey from Iraq to Jordan
Madona, 11, and her parents will soon celebrate the holidays in Jordan, where they were forced to flee from Iraq as a result of violence and repeated threats in their native country.
To respond to the emergency needs of vulnerable Iraqi children living in
Jordan , Save the Children is working with the Ta'leem Emergency Education Program, which was launched in January 2007. Ta'leem ("learning" in Arabic) is part of Save the Children's global "Rewrite the Future" education initiative.
