Children have the right to a name, a nationality, and their own identity. They have the right to think, believe, and congregate freely. They also have the right to privacy, and access to appropriate information which could culturally or socially benefit them. No child shall be subjected to torture, cruel treatment or punishment, unlawful arrest or deprivation of liberty.
Save the Children Spain's ‘Corregir no es pegar' campaign aims to sensitise the public about the physical punishment of children, a topic whose importance to children's wellbeing is paramount. Save the Children Youth aims to promote awareness of the rights of children and young people, and the political processes that surround them.
