Rami, 13 years old, Grade 7 of El Efein Basic School

I am from Chabang-Sabori in Kadugli locality. Before returning to my home, I lived as an internally displaced person in a camp in Khartoum State.

My picture shows...

A dove symbolizing peace. This is because it is white. It is carrying a book. The book signifies education and peace that makes education possible and in turn education breeds development. I have included a flag. In my interpretation of the flag the green symbolizes agriculture and development, red is the blood of the martyrs, black is war and white is peace.

The land signifies the blessings for the people. The candle signifies the light of education.

In order to build peace in Sudan I can draw pictures that express my love for peace and urge others to live likewise.

My message to our leaders is my gratitude to them for making and giving peace a chance.
