Halls Creek is the poster town for disadvantage and despair.  Children are killing themselves in Wyndham and Kununurra.  And now, in a car powering across the Kimberley, one of the most powerful figures in international aid has arrived because he believes that people here – like those in Africa, Latin America and the poorest parts of Asia – are in desperate need of help.
