A Child Safe Cambodia

Working in Phnom Penh, Prey Veng, Kampong Cham, Kratie, Siem Reap and Takeo Save the Children aims to protect children from sexual abuse, promoting a child safe Cambodia where:

• Children understand and promote their right to be protected from sexual abuse and exploitation,
• Potential abusers from outside the country are fearful to come to Cambodia due to the loss of anonymity and impunity,
• Inappropriate sexual behaviours in families, communities, organizations and workplaces are diminished both as a result of a grounded fear of the consequences and a more respectful and protective attitude towards children,
• And where local and international NGOs and governments collaborate at all levels, both through policy and practice, to ensure that children throughout the country are engaged and protected.
