Skip a Treat is back in 2007

Over 77 million children around the world get no basic education at all. It's a shocking statistic, even more so when you consider that education is absolutely fundamental to tackling poverty.

What would you go without to give a child the chance of a better future? A serve of chips? A chocolate bar? A visit to the movies?

Not much is it?

You may not realise it, but for less than the price of a packet of biscuits you could buy a textbook for a child in Vietnam. While the cost of a bunch of flowers could cover a teacher's salary in Sri Lanka for an entire month. The money saved from skipping your morning latte, a snack, wine with dinner, a trip to the movies or a dinner for two  can be used to make a big difference in a childs life.
