Fundraising

One of the most active ways of raising funds for Save the Children is to hold fundraising events with your friends, school, workplace or local community. Successful events include:

  • Morning teas
  • Music concerts
  • Quiz nights
  • Sausage sizzles
  • Movie nights

Badge Day

Our Annual Badge Day is held every May and in 2009 it will be held on Friday, May 22 in the Adelaide, North Adelaide & Burnside Councils. Our team of dedicated Volunteers rely upon the generosity of the public, who in turn receive a Save the Children sticker.

Funraiser Pins – Pin your hopes on children!

The “Fun-raiser” Pins are a popular fundraising project in schools, community organisations and offices.  The pins (or badges as they are sometimes called) are purchased for $2.00 and then sold to students and the wider community for $2.50.  From the sale of each pin, 50 cents is kept and the rest of the money is returned to Save the Children.  By purchasing the pins, you will be helping disadvantaged children around the world.

If you are interested in helping out with the 2009 Badge Day, are interested in selling our "Fun-raising" pins or have any questions regarding fundraising or upcoming events, contact Rhys Leppard, Marketing & Events Coordinator on + 61 8 8338 1777 or email rhys.leppard@savethechildren.org.au
