Canadian Mortgage Professionals Partner with Save the Children

Toronto, ON (February 20, 2008) -The CMP Canadian Mortgage Awards’ dinner taking place on February 29, 2008 at the Liberty Grand Hotel in Toronto, recognizes and celebrates exceptional mortgage professionals and organizational practices.

The CMP Canadian Mortgage Awards recognizes and celebrates excellence across the entire spectrum of mortgage brokering. There are 15 organizational and individual categories that have been designed to ensure national recognition of both large and small organizations on their individual merits. This annual black-tie gala is the event highlight of the year that attracts the biggest names in the business throughout Canada. Mortgage industry professionals gather to praise the achievements of their peers and industry leaders at the posh ballroom of the Liberty Grand in Toronto. An estimated 500 guests are expected to attend the award festivities in 2008.

Save the Children Canada has been chosen as this year’s charity of choice for the annual Canadian Mortgage Professionals’ Canadian Mortgage Awards. The event, organized by KMI Publishing and Events Ltd, has each year named a Canadian charity to receive a donation from the evening’s silent auction.

 “We’re very happy to have Save the Children as our charitable partner for this year’s Canadian Mortgage Awards,” says Tim Duce, President of KMI Publishing and Events Ltd. “This organization is making a difference in the lives of children around the world and we’re pleased to be a part of such a worthwhile cause.”

David Morley, President and CEO of Save the Children Canada will be part of the evening’s list of speakers.

He states “We are honoured to be chosen as this year’s charity of choice by the CMP and to be part of this outstanding event. Partnerships with the Canadian business community make sense to us, and will enable us to continue our important work on behalf of children in over 120 countries around the world.”
