In the communities where FUDECO operates, the growth of the population has determined that we offer the following services: 1) potable water, 2) housing, 3) education, 4) health and nutrition, 5) employment, 6) recreation and diversion. But has also impacted on the pillaging of the natural resources. Which constitutes the basis used for the implementation of the Participating Community Development Program that FUDECO has designed and implemented with success in the region.
With this design the community discovers firsthand that most of the problems affecting them are inter-related, because when looking for possible solutions, among which, we must emphasize the water demand, the positive results benefit everyone. All problems perceived by the community and the outcome of the solution for a specific problem gives each member a practical notion of community development.
From this, a classification of community development arises that does not require complicated technical ingenuity dictated from the outside, but rather establishes priorities and the strategic order that each problem occupies within the community needs. After prioritizing these needs, FUDECO organizes the services offered to the families living on the border in order to alleviate their problems and thus be able to confront the lashes of poverty, such as:
PRIMARY HEALTH PROGRAM
CONSERVATION OF NATURAL RESOURCES PROGRAM
COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE PROGRAM
TRAINING PROGRAM
AGRICULTURAL AND CATTLE CREDIT PROGRAM
SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM
