Floods in India affect the lives of 25 million people.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, approximately 25 million people across India have been affected by severe flooding. Two of the worst affected states are Bihar and Orissa where more than 10 million people have suffered the wrath of the floods, half of whom are children. Save the Children, Bal Raksha, Bharat is an independent member of the International Save the Children Alliance.

We fight for children's rights and deliver immediate and lasting improvements to children's lives in India. Save the Children has existed in India since pre-independence days and is currently working in 11 states and union territories of India.
