There is evidence of Corporal Punishment being used as a tool of discipline in homes, schools, in child care homes and in work places. There is no law that prevents corporal punishment from being used in the home; the Offences Against Children’s Bill 2006 seeks to correct this gap.  States are now enacting laws to prevent corporal punishment in schools.
