Manifesto for Children’s Rights – Taking EU Action for Children
As part of the EU Office 20 years anniversary, Save the Children has published a Manifesto for Children’s Rights, which sets out proposals, building on progress made, that will help ensure that the EU fully capitalises on its potential to achieve immediate and lasting change in children’s lives, and to contribute to a world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation.

Job opportunities
Save the Children is recruiting a Senior Advocacy Adviser on child survival.

Based in Brussels, the Senior Advocacy Adviser will help us to catalyse an intensified effort to save 15 million lives by 2015 by helping to create an environment in which political decision-making and action facilitates/accelerates access to keyhealth and nutrition services. The Senior Advocacy Adviser will act as a credible and influential force for change, helping to share our advocacy and work in Brussels, and being a visible and respected external voice for Save the Children. S/he will have a proven track record in advocacy success as well as a proven ability to build relationships with and influence policy makers, politicians and other key actors.  S/he will also have a strong understanding of EU institutions and the Brussels development policy making processes, and a demonstrable ability to manage multiple demands and work within complex structures.
