BE A LIFELINE FOR CHILDREN IN GAZA

bombs, airstrikes, bullets, hunger and fear has shattered the childhoods of children in Gaza. 

Imagine being just seven years old and losing nearly everything in a moment. That’s the reality for Rami*, who, along with his family, was trapped in the violence of Gaza. Their home was destroyed, and Rami* and his sisters, Sana* and Samira*, were severely injured. After 19 days in an overcrowded hospital with little to no supplies, Rami’s family managed to cross into Egypt, seeking urgent medical care. Thanks to the support of donors like you, Save the Children was there to help.

In Cairo, our team provided critical medical support to Rami’s* family, ensuring they received surgeries, therapy, and resources to begin healing. But Rami’s journey is far from over. His leg needs further treatment, and his family—like thousands of others—is rebuilding a life in a foreign land, carrying both physical and emotional scars from the conflict.

For the past year, Save the Children has been working tirelessly, with local partners, to provide emergency support and help pick up the shattered pieces of children’s lives. We’re doing everything possible to provide lifesaving food, water, healthcare and safe places for children to play and learn. But the ongoing siege and restrictions on delivering aid have made this extremely challenging. The situation remains dire, and it is crucial that the siege is lifted, and all crossings are opened to ensure that lifesaving aid reaches those in need.

OUR IMPACT

1. Save the Children continues to support lifesaving services and interventions for children and their families in Gaza with health, nutrition, and WASH, child protection and learning, and food distributions and multi-purpose cash assistance. We are currently working with communities across 49 locations.  
2. Despite the severe obstacles that hinder a meaningful humanitarian response, our teams and local partners are delivering essential supplies and services while advocating for an immediate and definitive ceasefire and unimpeded humanitarian access. We stand ready to scale-up our support to children as soon as we are able to safely.  
3. Apart from Gaza, we're also helping in the West Bank, where we've supported families facing increased settler violence by providing emergency cash and running child protection activities. In Egypt, we've ensured access to essential supplies, supported medical evacuees from Gaza, and trained first responders. In Lebanon, we've assisted displaced individuals by providing clean water, food, hygiene products, and mental health support.
