SUDAN CONFLICT: HELP CHILDREN IN CRISIS

April 15th 2025 marks two years since the conflict erupted in Sudan’s capital, Khartoum—two years of violence, displacement, and unimaginable suffering. Children are paying the highest price in this conflict: an average of one child every 10 seconds has been forced to flee their homes since the conflict began in Sudan two years ago. This is now the world’s largest child displacement crisis. Many have nothing to return to, their towns reduced to rubble.

Fatima*, 11, is one of them. She was forced to flee her home, following violent clashes. She said: “On the first day of the attack, which was a Friday, I was sleeping at home when a bullet went through the window”. Her family moved through multiple villages, facing violence, extortion, and hardship before reaching a reception centre for displaced people where Save the Children provided her family with food, blankets, mattresses, clothes, including pyjamas and slippers.

Your support now can mean the difference between despair and survival. Please, stand with children like Fatima*. Donate today to help us protect children in crises like Sudan and around the world.

We must keep talking about Sudan

30.4 million people—including 15.6 million children—urgently need humanitarian aid. A shocking 11.6 million children are experiencing crisis levels of food insecurity. Yet, this crisis is severely underfunded, and aid access is dangerously limited. Despite its scale, Sudan is being forgotten. We must keep talking about Sudan and demand urgent action.

For two years, millions of children have had their lives torn apart. Homes, schools, and hospitals have been bombed. Families have been separated. Children face hunger, violence, unimaginable loss and physical and emotional distress, and violations of their rights. The world cannot look away.

Children in Sudan need immediate protection, lifesaving aid, and a future beyond the conflict. Donate now to help us respond quickly to support children like Fatima*, living in countries such as Sudan and across the world.
