Supply Chain Lead - PRIME
We are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Lead to join us in central London (although the role could be based remotely with frequent travel to London). The role is offered on the basis of a fixed term contract until the end of 2019.
In this role you will provide your Supply Chain expertise to primarily support a key strategic initiative, PPM PRIME, to improve field level project/program management capability and delivery. Supply Chain is integral to the successful delivery of international programmes in Save the Children, and it is critical that the relevant supply chain functions tools and processes are captured within the project management methodology, and the project management system (PRIME), and that Project Managers are equipped to work with Supply Chain.
In this role you will also provide initial, temporary, support to another key strategic initiative - Coding. This project will strengthen our reporting, accountability and decision-making processes by building a common, simplified financial data model across Save the Children that will cover all awards and speak one language. You will support this project through reviewing the business processes and system design for PPM PRIME, Source to Pay (S2P) and Total Inventory Management (TIM), assessing the impact of system design on dual coding requirements during project deployment and data transition, and support change impact assessments.
In order to be successful you will bring:
- Substantial Supply Chain management experience within the sector, including working within a complex matrixed organisation ideally in both development and emergency contexts.
- A track record of delivering results in a complex organisation, with a proven ability to forge consensus and drive action
- Knowledge of, and success in Change Management, evidenced through developing and rolling out new Supply Chain tools/processes within a country office environment
- Experience in developing and negotiating core business processes.
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to build credibility and internal networks quickly, and gain change acceptance across the country offices.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence.
- Experience managing a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Demonstrable success in delivering trainings and workshops
- Training and capacity building experience
- A willingness to travel in developing countries (varying, but expected to be 20% of time)
