Sahra

SAHRA* HAS A LOT OF JOY TO SHARE WITH YOU, EVEN THOUGH HER COMMUNITY IS SUFFERING.

Save the Children trucks drive water to Sahra’s community every week, so that she and her sister can focus on chasing their dreams. The girls’ mother, Amina, is also using a grant to keep the family stable until she can find a new way to provide for her daughters.

Malnourishment is a serious problem in drought-stricken areas. Children with a poor diet have an increased risk of illness, infections and stunting. Stunting not only affects children's physical growth but also impacts their intellectual development, productivity and health in adulthood.

Now Sahra and Aida have room to dream again. Amina can encourage her daughters to pursue their studies and look toward their future with the full confidence that they’ll actually get to chase those dreams.

We believe Sahra, Aida and Amina are capable of big things (did you hear that singing voice?), but they need your help to accomplish them. Will you help provide the critical monthly support mothers like Amina need to see their children flourish?

We are looking for just three more monthly donors in the month of May. If you can make a regular monthly gift to help girls like Sahra make it to university, please join today.
