Monitoring and Evaluation Manager, Newborn & Child Survival Campaign

Location: Flexible, but requires excellent communication infrastructure and international travel links
Salary: Negotiable, based on experience
Closing date: Wednesday 15 July 2009
Interviews:
Week commencing 20 July 2009

Nearly six million children under the age of five die needlessly each year. By the time you have finished reading this sentence, somewhere in the world another child will have died when they don't need to.

They are dying from conditions such as diarrhoea and pneumonia that can be prevented or treated using known and affordable solutions. They are dying because the world is failing to act.

Save the Children's Newborn and Child Survival Campaign seeks to end this injustice. We need your help to do so. We are building an exceptional team of dynamic individuals with passion, creativity and tenacity to lead and manage our ambitious new campaign.

We are seeking an experienced monitoring and evaluation (M&E) specialist to oversee the monitoring and evaluation of the Newborn and Child Survival Campaign. The role will operate across several areas of work, including programmes, advocacy, campaigns, fundraising and communications.

You will have proven experience of building a global monitoring system for a large scale programme of work. You will, ideally, have field experience of monitoring health and nutrition programmes.
