We want every child to have a healthy start, mobilizing constant care starting before birth and continuing during delivery and after they have returned home. Our specialized care for the most vulnerable babies, including premature and sick newborns, ensures that they thrive.
Our strength is built on collaboration with the government and key stakeholders. Together, we are enhancing health systems through technical assistance, strengthening capacity for health workers, driving innovation, generating evidence, and influencing national health strategies and financing models.
We go where healthcare is most often overlooked, providing institutional care in the hard-to-reach and underserved areas. Our focus remains on delivering equitable, life-saving maternal and newborn health services in both the development and humanitarian setting.
Where capacity is limited, we transform mindsets for change! We engage families, communities, and local institutions to challenge harmful norms and promote gender and disability inclusion. Our socioecological model drives positive change so that mothers and children are top priorities in policies and practice.

Health with no Limits
-
We are bringing access where healthcare is extremely limited—our essential maternal and health services, including family planning, to the most remote and underserved areas. We collaborate with local partners and government health facilities to reach the most vulnerable populations, especially in the remote Char areas. Our tori (boat clinic) provide uninterrupted care by delivering health services directly to communities cut off by water due to extreme flooding and during time-sensitive emergencies. Immunization is the first line of defense against diseases contributing largely to children's deaths. With this in mind, we distribute vaccines to some of the country’s remotest districts to protect children.

A Tour de Workforce
-
We build a stronger health workforce to increase efficiency against limited resources. Our approach focuses on enhancing the capacity of facility and community-based providers through in-service training, on-the-job support, and mentorship. We partner with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), National Institute of Population Research and Training (NIPORT), academic institutions, and professional associations to drive sustainable improvement. Our support in rolling out the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to build workforce planning and implementation through tech-driven solutions.

The A+ Attitude
-
Our social change behavior approach is tailored to the specific context to increase awareness and encourage healthy practices for maternal and newborn health. Local courtyards become spaces for learning through entertainment, where our interactive theater, video shows, fairs, and folk songs bring mothers, daughters-in-law, and families together. We support health workers in harnessing the power of dialogues to engage stakeholders and community leaders to raise awareness on ANC, delivery, PNC, and family planning. These discussions foster an environment where informed decisions and positive behavior are established and put into practice.

Partnering for Strong Systems
-
We collaborate with key stakeholders to consolidate our collective efforts in maternal and newborn health. Our partnership includes the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives (MOLGRD&C), United Nations (UN) agencies, and the European Union (EU). We advocate for incorporating evidence-based interventions into policies and systems based on our technical expertise and experience in large-scale programs. Our engagement as members of leading platforms in health and nutrition allows us to support policy development, strategic planning, and scaling effective solutions. These endeavors also focus on facility readiness, strengthening guidelines, supply chains, and service delivery to improve maternal health outcomes.

Data to Drive Impact
-
We use the WHO’s implementation research framework to create evidence that informs program improvement, national advocacy, and scaling. We pilot and evaluate cost-effective, locally customized solutions to strengthen national health systems. Our pioneer systems, such as the Neonatally Live (NNL), the Family-Centered Care approach, and tools such as the Vayu bubble CPAP and pre-discharge counselling checklist for PNC to improve efficiency against limited capacity at the grassroots level. Our research and learning have informed national health and nutrition program planning, such as the Health, Nutrition, and Population Sector Program (HNPSP).
