The Opportunity
The Midwife will contribute to improving reproductive, maternal, and neonatal health by providing counselling, care, support, and services to women and their families before, during, and after childbirth. She/he will work in SCI-operated health facilities (HP/PHCC) as needed. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the stock of SRH commodities and medicines, providing SRH support in MMT when required, and building the capacity of volunteers (CHWs, CMHWs, and TBAs) in SRH activities. Additionally, the midwife will engage in healthcare education and collaborate with MCHN promoters to ensure appropriate health messages are shared with the community. She/he will also participate in knowledge sharing and health education for beneficiaries, volunteers, and staff during campaigns, outreach activities, and day observations.
Qualifications and Experience
• Diploma in Midwifery, preferably from Government affiliated institutions• Registered from Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery Council (BNMC)• 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably including 2 years of clinical experience in primary and emergency healthcare, tropical infections, and diseases in emergency settings such as the Rohingya Response• Experienced working in 24/7 health facilities and staff, including previous experience of supervising and mentoring other health staff• Working experience in emergency response• Flexible with Night Duties • Proficiency on computer using, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.
