KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :
- Day-to-day driving of the assigned car, deliver passengers on area of operation.
- Ensure assigned car has correct equipment and sufficient fuel for the planned trip.
- Control fuel and fluids level.
- Request maintenance depending on identified needs and related car reports.
- Complete and update daily vehicle report and service.
- Adhere to Save the Children policies and procedures.
- Collate and analyse all car data and forward to Fleet officer in Kharkiv.
- Maintain and update all required records and paperwork for vehicles;
- Ensure that proper documentation is maintained for all aspects of vehicle operations.
- Ensure that logbooks are filled correctly and display all relevant information authorized by correct passenger and identify forms are filled for all non-SC staff traveling in vehicles.
- Do weekly vehicle checks of standard items as per vehicle weekly checklist and report all vehicle defects, health and security issues to the Fleet officer.
- Provide information to the Supply Chain officer in Kharkiv for submitting monthly vehicle performance reports.
- Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the line manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate degree or any other equivalent qualification is desirable but not required
- Knowledge of computer software packages (MS Word and MS Excel)
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- At least three years of general work experience
- Experience in basic vehicle repair and maintenance
- Driver’s license B
- Should be able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Ability to take initiative
- Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles. To recognise the need to be independent, neutral and impartial when at all possible
- Computer literate (i.e. WORD, advanced Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer)
