ROLE PROFILE KREASI Public Outreach 

ROLE PURPOSE  

The KREASI Public Outreach leads KREASI’s outreach, engagement, and external communication efforts to expand the programme’s visibility, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and promote dialogue around foundational skills, inclusive education, gender equality, child protection, and climate-responsive education. 

Based at the national level, the role supports the implementation of KREASI’s communication strategy by building relationships with key external stakeholders; including government counterparts, media, education partners, and community organizations. The Public Outreach helps ensure that KREASI’s approaches, results, and learning are communicated effectively to diverse audiences through outreach activities, campaigns, partnerships, and programme events. 

Working closely with the Communication & Media Manager, the Public Outreach supports the dissemination and amplification of KREASI’s communication products, including articles, videos, photo stories, knowledge products, and learning materials. The role also supports communication planning and outreach for programme events, campaigns, and major milestones. 

The Public Outreach contributes to strengthening KREASI’s visibility, credibility, and influence by ensuring that communication activities reach key stakeholders and encourage dialogue, participation, and collaboration across the education ecosystem. 

KEY AREA OF ACCOUNTABILITY   

Stakeholder Engagement and External Communication 

  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including media representatives, education partners, community organizations, and key opinion leaders (KOLs). 
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen collaboration and amplify KREASI’s messages through strategic partnerships. 
  • Support preparation and organization of media briefings, press engagements, and media visits to programme sites where appropriate. 
  • Promote dialogue and participation around key education issues supported by KREASI. 

Communication Campaigns and Programme Outreach 

  • Support the planning and implementation of communication campaigns aligned with KREASI’s programme priorities and key education moments. 
  • Coordinate outreach activities that promote awareness of KREASI’s approaches, innovations, and learning. 
  • Work with programme teams to identify opportunities to highlight programme achievements, field experiences, and success stories. 
  • Ensure that communication activities are inclusive, accessible, and relevant to diverse audiences. 

Event Communication and Engagement 

  • Support communication planning and outreach for online and offline programme events, workshops, launches, and stakeholder meetings. 
  • Coordinate event promotion, stakeholder invitations, and communication materials. 
  • Support documentation and communication outputs from programme events, including summaries, highlights, and media materials. 
  • Ensure event communication reflects KREASI’s messaging and programme priorities. 

Communication and Amplification Dissemination  

  • Support the dissemination of KREASI communication products across appropriate channels and stakeholder networks. 
  • Adapt communication materials for different audiences to increase reach and understanding. 
  • Support the promotion of programme stories, learning products, and evidence through outreach activities and partnerships. 
  • Contribute to social media updates and other communication channels as part of broader outreach efforts.  

Coordination and Collaboration 

  • Work closely with the Communication & Media Manager to ensure outreach activities align with KREASI’s strategic communication objectives. 
  • Collaborate with the Communication & Media Specialist to ensure that communication products are effectively disseminated and promoted. 
  • Coordinate with programme teams and implementing partners to support communication and outreach activities at national and sub-national levels. 
  • Coordinate with external parties especially our key stakeholders in national level. 
  • Collaborate with the Visual Communication to develop communication materials and campaign assets. 

Monitoring and Learning 

  • Track outreach activities, partnerships, and communication engagement. 
  • Maintain documentation of outreach initiatives, communication events, and partnerships. 
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen KREASI’s communication reach and stakeholder engagement. 
  • Contribute to learning within the communication team by sharing insights from outreach and stakeholder engagement activities. 

Compliance, Safeguarding, and Ethical Communication  

  • Ensure all outreach and communication activities comply with KREASI safeguarding policies and ethical communication standards. 
  • Promote respectful and responsible representation of children, educators, and communities in communication materials. 
  • Ensure communication activities uphold the dignity, privacy, and safety of programme participants.  

General 

  • Carry out other tasks assigned by the Communication & Media Manager. 
  • Support communication activities during major programme events, campaigns, and strategic communication moments. 
  • Ensure adherence to KREASI policies and standards on safeguarding, inclusion, ethical communication, and responsible engagement. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES 

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, media studies, journalism, social sciences, education, public relations, or a related field with at least 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in communication, outreach, or stakeholder engagement.  
  • Demonstrated experience supporting communication campaigns, outreach activities, or stakeholder engagement initiatives.  
  • Experience coordinating communication for events, workshops, or public engagement activities.  
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.  
  • Ability to translate programme information into clear and engaging communication messages.  
  • Experience working with development programmes, education initiatives, or NGO communication is an advantage.  
  • Basic skills in photography, video capture, or simple content editing are an advantage.  
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and online collaboration tools (e.g., Teams).
