Save the Children, in partnership with Hewad Vocational and Social Organization (HVSO) distributed school kits to 4,128 students in Kabul Province, helping reduce barriers to education and support continued learning in hub schools.
As children move from community-based education into formal schools, practical support can help ease the transition and encourage continued learning.
Save the Children, in partnership with its implementing partner, Hewad Vocational and Social Organization (HVSO) distributed school kits to 4,128 students, including 1,842 boys and 2,286 girls, in Kabul Province. These students have transitioned from Community-Based Education (CBE) classes to nearby hub schools, marking an important step in their education journey.
The distribution aimed to reduce education-related barriers and support regular school attendance. Each student received a kit containing essential learning materials, including a school bag, notebooks, pens, pencils, a geometry box, coloured pencils, a water bottle, and an umbrella. In addition, 18 hub schools received essential stationery supplies to support classroom learning.
For children like Abasin*, this support has made a meaningful difference.
Abasin*, 11 years old and a CBE student, shared:
“I am very happy that I have received notebooks, pens, water bottles and other school supplies. This helps me to continue my education in formal school. I am very thankful to you for providing these kits and hope to receive them again in the future.”
