"Park Jin-young’s warm-hearted support will serve as a strong foundation for children in need of music education to discover their talents and pursue their dreams. We are deeply grateful for his meaningful donation to Save the Children and will continue our efforts to expand learning opportunities and create stable educational environments so that children can grow and thrive.”

SEOUL 13 May 2026 – Park Jin-young, a Korean actor and member of the K-pop group GOT7, has donated USD $34,000 (50 million won) to Save the Children Korea to support music education for children overseas, coinciding with the release of his solo mini album ‘Said & Done’, Save the Children said.

The donation will be used for music education programmes for children overseas who have limited access to educational opportunities and infrastructure and will help children to discover their potential through music.

Park Jin-young previously donated 30 million won (USD $21,000) in 2023 to support relief efforts following a deadly earthquake in Türkiye that killed thousands and displaced many, including children. In recognition of his support for Save the Children’s work, Park Jin-young was appointed as a member of Save the Children Korea’s Honors Club, a group of major donors.

Since then, he has continued his philanthropic efforts for children in Korea and around the world, donating 30 million won ($21,000) for earthquake relief efforts in Myanmar following a major earthquake there in 2025, and 100 million won ($70,000) to support meal programs for children in Korea.

Choi Ji-won, Team Leader of the Philanthropy Team at Save the Children Korea, said:

“Music is an important medium that helps children discover new possibilities and build self-esteem. Park Jin-young’s warm-hearted support will serve as a strong foundation for children in need of music education to discover their talents and pursue their dreams. We are deeply grateful for his meaningful donation to Save the Children and will continue our efforts to expand learning opportunities and create stable educational environments so that children can grow and thrive.”

Save the Children Korea’s Honors Club is a major donor group launched in 2020 to mark the 100th anniversary of Save the Children’s founding.

The Club includes Korean celebrities from various fields and individual donors who have contributed 30 million won ($21,000) or more in cumulative donations. Current members include actor Park Jin-young, broadcaster Choi Hee, and singer Ahn Ye-eun, who continue to help create sustainable change for the survival, protection, and development of children around the world through donations, volunteer work, and contributions of their time and talent.

Save the Children Korea was established in 1953, in the aftermath of the Korean War and began its transformation from a recipient of international aid to becoming a donor country. In Korea, Save the Children is a leading organisation addressing child rights issues in child protection and a major contributor to the global Save the Children movement in response to humanitarian crises.
