“Girls Unstoppable” OUTCOME HARVESTING EVENT IN HANOI

2 Feb 2026 Vietnam

From 27–30 January 2026, Save the Children organized the Outcome Harvesting Learning Event under the “Girls Unstoppable” project in Hanoi.

The event brought together Save the Children representatives from five countries - Denmark, China, Mexico, Indonesia and Vietnam - along with teachers and students from project schools in Quang Binh and Ho Chi Minh City, to collectively reflect on the project’s key achievements and outcomes.

After nearly 3 years of implementation, with the application of the Girls Decide toolkit and Learning through Play approach, many girls participating in the project across all five countries have become more confident in expressing their views, more proactive in discussions and decision-making, and have gradually taken on leadership roles in school and club activities. Play-based learning spaces were recognized as safe and encouraging, enabling girls to share openly, connect with peers, and strengthen their awareness of rights, safety, and life skills.

These positive changes have also been clearly observed by teachers and parents, reflected in girls’ increased engagement in learning, communication, and participation in collective activities.

In Viet Nam, the Girls Unstoppable project has completed Phase 1 in Quang Binh and Hanoi and is currently implementing Phase 2 in Ho Chi Minh City, continuing the journey of nurturing girls’ confidence so they can grow through small experiences that foster lasting, positive change.
