Education
Save the Children works to increase access to quality early childhood care and development and improve access to safe, quality and gender-responsive basic education for vulnerable, marginalized out-of-school girls and boys including those living with disabilities. SC education programmes also focus on ensuring learning continuity for children in conflict & disaster settings, improving literacy and numeracy competency skills and supporting teachers' and learners' well-being. This is done through providing temporary learning spaces for children, supporting enrolment and re-enrolment of out-of-school children, teacher training and building the capacity of education stakeholders. SC also works with various government and community stakeholders to strengthen educational systems and improve the quality of learning and the learning environment.
