Save the Children Pakistan Country Director Khuram Gondal met with United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher during his strategic visit to Pakistan to discuss strengthening humanitarian action, advancing localisation, and protecting the rights of children affected by crises.
Islamabad, Pakistan: As Chair of the Pakistan Humanitarian Forum (PHF), Khuram Gondal briefed the UN Humanitarian Chief on Pakistan's humanitarian landscape and the collective efforts being made to advance the localisation agenda.
Discussions focused on strengthening locally led humanitarian action, enhancing preparedness, and fostering closer collaboration among national organisations, international non-governmental organisations, United Nations agencies, donors, and government partners to better support vulnerable communities across Pakistan.
Save the Children continues to work alongside the Government of Pakistan, United Nations agencies, local partners, and communities to strengthen humanitarian preparedness and ensure children affected by emergencies have access to lifesaving assistance, protection, education, and other essential services.
