Many children in Sierra Leone lack the essentials for survival, education, and growth because their rights are not prioritized or respected by those in power. Save the Children works to hold governments accountable, support child-friendly policies, and ensure children can participate in decisions affecting their lives.
We also strengthen local groups and coalitions to protect and expand civic spaces for dialogue on child rights. By supporting these efforts, we aim to create sustainable, effective governance and public policies that benefit children and their families.

strengthening adolescent sexual reproductive health and rights
The Strengthening Adolescent Girls' Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights Project is a six-year initiative funded by the Government of Canada that aims to strengthen adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights in Sierra Leone. The project empowers adolescent girls, including the most vulnerable, to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health while promoting gender equality and access to quality health services.
