Save the Children is implementing health and nutrition programmes such as the Strengthening Health Systems project in Sierra Leone to respond to persistently high child mortality and malnutrition, which are largely driven by preventable diseases and weak access to quality healthcare. These interventions aim to strengthen the health system, improve service delivery, and ensure that children, especially in underserved communities, can survive and develop fully.
HEALTH AND NUTRITION PROGRAMMES
STRENGTHENING HEALTH SYSTEMS
Save the Children is supporting the Ministry of Health of Sierra Leone to strengthen the health system at community and facility levels through the implementation of an integrated maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) and Nutrition project. The project is funded by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
