Activities: This project aims to address the educational, protection, and mental health needs of children, adolescents, and caregivers after evacuations of the temporary living settlements in Adıyaman and Hatay. By integrating education in emergencies with psychosocial support, the project seeks to foster resilience and ensure continued learning for those in need.
Key Activities of the Project:
• Establish educational and recreational spaces
• Implement Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) activities for children
• Provide access to primary, secondary, and non-formal basic education and learning opportunities
• Deliver foundational literacy, numeracy, and language programs for children
• Conduct information sessions on education and career pathways for children and adults
• Implement structured Mental Health and Psychosocial Support(MHPSS) activities for children and adolescents
• Deliver awareness-raising sessions on bullying, discrimination, and inclusion
• Deliver awareness sessions on key protection topics for caregivers and community members
• Implement the Positive Parenting program for caregivers
• Provide capacity building for staff and teachers on Child Protection in Emergencies (CPiE), Psychological First Aid (PFA), and MHPSS approaches
• Identify vulnerable children, assess their situation, and provide or refer them to the services needed to protect them
• Provide financial support to caregivers to cover basic needs of the child and family
Criteria: This project provides child protection, MHPSS, cash assistance, and education support to families transitioning from temporary living settlements and living in Adıyaman and Hatay.
