Advocacy
We advocate for:
Enforcement of the legal age of marriage set at 18 and the removal of the exemption at 16, to ensure protection in line with international standards;
Establishment of a monitoring committee for the effective implementation of the Safe Schools Declaration (SSD) and its Guidelines;
Access to and funding of the humanitarian response to ensure assistance for children;
Inclusion in the political and public agenda of the six grave violations against children in times of conflict, notably the recruitment of children by armed groups.
Child Participation : We empower children to lead their own campaign and advocacy actions to claim their rights (including the reactivation of the children’s parliament).
Child Rights Governance: We work in partnership with children and civil society actors to define tools and mechanisms that allow institutions to be held accountable to children (child‑centred accountability) for their actions, decisions, and commitments related to child rights, and to ensure adequate investment in the fulfilment of those rights.
