EDUCATION

We support the implementation of the National Education in Emergencies Strategy in areas facing major security challenges through:

  •  The Radio Education Programme (PER) and the use of oral pedagogy;
  • Catch-up and remedial classes, as well as accelerated learning programmes;
  • The Rapid Integrated Response for Children (RIRE), which combines education and child protection for displaced children and children in host communities;
  • The training of teachers and school management committees on the Safe Schools approach and on psychosocial support;
  • The capacity strengthening of the Technical Secretariat for Education in Emergencies (ST-ESU);
  • The construction of school infrastructure and the rehabilitation of classrooms and gender-sensitive latrines;
  • The distribution of school kits to pupils, and of teaching kits and instructional materials to teachers.

    We also support the implementation of other education strategies, notably the 2026–2030 Strategic Plan for the Development of Basic Education, Literacy and the Promotion of National Languages (PSDEBAPLN), and the 2026–2030 National Strategy for the Promotion of Science and Technology Education (SNPEST).
