Our impact for children in 2025

In 2025, we ensured children had access to clean water and dignified toilets across South Sudan. WASH interventions were geared towards addressing the unmet WASH needs in the targeted communities and were particularly helpful in preventing the outbreak of diarrheal disease.

  • We reached to 124,753 people with WASH services in  communities across South Sudan with the support from USG/BHA, UNICEF, MAPLE, SIDA, SSHF, ECHO, CONRAD, EU DRA, P&G, Telethon foundation, HF and others.
  • Temporary access to water was delivered through rehabilitation of sustainable water sources including over 118 boreholes serving a total of 61,000 individuals having access to safe and clean drinking water.
  • 118 water management communities were established to ensure community ownership and sustainability of the water points.
  • Hand pump mechanics were trained on repair and maintenance of boreholes.
  • 4 VIP latrines were constructed in health care facilities and 1,615 household latrines were constructed in the targeted communities.
  • 14,587 WASH kits were distributed in 2025 across the target locations.
  • Training was conducted to empower the rural communities to facilitate and take collective action to adopt safe and hygienic sanitation behaviours and guarantee that all households have access to safe sanitation facilities.
