In 2025, progress for children in Tanzania didn’t come easy, but it happened where it matters most.

The Save the Children Tanzania Annual Report highlights what’s possible when communities, partners, and systems work together with children at the center. Over 85,000 people were reached, with real impact seen in stronger health services, safer and more inclusive schools, sustained education for refugee children, and growing investment in child-focused policies.

But what stands out is the shift behind the results. More locally led action. Stronger systems. And children themselves influencing decisions on climate, health, and governance.

This is what long-term change looks like, not just delivering services, but building systems that last.
