Consultancy Opportunity: Baseline Assessment for SWASH in Zanzibar Schools
Save the Children Tanzania is seeking a consultancy firm or individual to conduct a comprehensive baseline assessment for the "Increasing Access to Improved School Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (SWASH) Facilities" project in Zanzibar. This 18-month project, funded by the Big Heart Foundation, aims to enhance access to age-, disability-, and gender-appropriate SWASH facilities and improve Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) in 10 public primary schools across Zanzibar's Unguja and Pemba districts.
We are looking for experienced consultants with expertise in SWASH and MHM to assess the current state of school hygiene facilities, practices, and the challenges faced by students—particularly girls and children with disabilities. This will inform our project design, implementation, and monitoring.

Consultancy Opportunity: Organizational Capacity Development for Youth-led CSOs (Vijana Plus Project)
As part of the Vijana Plus Project, Save the Children and Tanzania Bora Initiative are looking for eight dynamic facilitators to support 40 youth-led CSOs across Tanzania. Facilitators will guide each organization through a self-assessment process and help them develop customized capacity development plans. The role requires strong facilitation, report writing skills, and experience in organizational strengthening.

Save the Children is seeking a skilled consultant to lead qualitative research for a learning initiative focused on community-led disaster preparedness and response in Hanang District, following the December 2023 floods and mudslides. Save the Children Tanzania and Tanzania Bora Initiative Launched EU-Funded "Vijana Plus" Project to Empower Youth Leaders and Youth-led CSOs Across Tanzania
March 21, 2025, Dar es Salaam – Save the Children, in partnership with Tanzania Bora Initiative, officially launched the EU-funded "Vijana Plus" project, valued at over €2 million, with a goal of reaching 700,000 youth and 40 youth-led CSOs directly across Tanzania.
The Vijana Plus project is designed to strengthen the capacity of youth-led civil society organizations (CSOs) and young leaders in Tanzania, enabling them to become independent actors of good governance and development.
