Her journey in this field has been shaped by years of dedication. Before moving to the provincial office in early 2024, Kongseng spent more than a decade working with LWU in Viengkham District, gaining valuable experience working directly with communities.
In October 2025, Kongseng took an important step in strengthening her professional skills, she attended the Child Protection Case Management Training delivered by Save the Children team implementing the Child Protection for Preventing Child Labour (CPPCL) project with the financial support of the European Union.
For Kongseng, the training marked a new chapter in her work.
“This was my first time attending a case management training,” she shared. “Through this experience, I now better understand the role of a caseworker in ensuring that children receive the best possible support while remaining safe. I also learned the key steps of case management that I can apply in my daily work.”
The training not only expanded her technical knowledge but also strengthened her confidence. Equipped with practical tools and a clearer understanding of case management processes, Kongseng feels better prepared to respond to the needs of vulnerable children.
“I am now more confident in applying case management in my work,” she explained. “I hope that my contribution will help strengthen the child protection system in Laos, especially here in Luang Prabang Province.”
With renewed skills and motivation, Kongseng continues her work with a stronger sense of purpose—supporting children and families and contributing to a safer environment where every child can be protected and supported.
