“The intensity of the recent airstrikes feel like the beginning of another wave of deadly violence. As we wait for Rafah to open, we must keep our eyes on the suffering across Gaza.”
GAZA, 31 January 2026 – After recent air strikes in Gaza, Shurouq, Multimedia Manager Gaza, Save the Children, said:
“As news emerges of yet more children being killed by Israeli forces in Gaza today, it feels like the beginning of another wave of deadly violence.
"Over the last 24 hours, the intensity of the airstrikes have been the worst we’ve experienced since October.
"As we wait for the Rafah crossing to open, we must keep our eyes on the human suffering which continues across Gaza and ensure that children do not continue to bear the greatest brunt of this relentless violence.”
