WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE EUROPEAN UNION, CASH ASSISTANCE, EDUCATION, AND CHILD PROTECTION ACTIVITIES FOR EARTHQUAKE-AFFECTED SYRIAN FAMILIES IN ADIYAMAN ARE LAUNCHING

Multipurpose Cash Assistance and Winter Support

Under the project, multi-purpose cash assistance will be provided to families with urgent and priority needs to help meet essential requirements during their transition from container settlements to earthquake-affected urban settings, following the closure of temporary container sites. 

Additionally, within the scope of winterisation support, assistance aims to help cover needs such as:

• Heating,
• Winter clothing, and other essential household items.

Protection and Psychosocial Support (PSS)

Within the scope of the project, psychosocial support sessions will be organised for children, adolescents, and caregivers. These sessions aim to promote participants’ well-being while increasing awareness of protection-related risks.

Through the Child Protection Case Management programme, children at risk will be identified, provided with necessary support or referred to relevant institutions.

These interventions aim to contribute to the reduction of risks related to abuse, neglect, and other child protection concerns.

Support for Access to Education

As part of education support, cash assistance will be provided to help families cover essential education-related expenses such as:

• School transportation,

• School uniforms,

• Educational materials.

This aims to prevent children from dropping out of school and from being forced into early labour.
