Climate change is increasingly impacting children’s lives and learning. In this context, climate change education should go beyond simply delivering knowledge; it needs to help children understand, experience, and gradually take action within their own environments.
Save the Children is promoting a comprehensive, child-centered and system-aligned approach: integrating climate change education into schools through digitized learning materials and greener school environments; strengthening experiential learning through a Climate Change Education Center for students and young people; and enabling children to take the lead in communication activities, sharing knowledge and influencing awareness and behaviors within their communities.
