Planting a seed today, nurturing tomorrow’s future

29 Dec 2025 Vietnam

In December 2025, Save the Children organized a series of interactive climate and disaster risk communication activities for children in Tam Giang, Ca Mau as part of the “My Forest Child” project, contributing to nurturing a generation that is more resilient and proactive in the face of climate change.

Children are the most affected by climate change and natural disasters, so they need to be equipped with sufficient knowledge to adapt and respond promptly for better future.

In late December 2025, Save the Children carried out a series of communication activities in Tam Giang, bringing knowledge about climate change and disaster risks closer to children. Through interactive and engaging activities, children were encouraged to listen, ask questions, share their thoughts, and build a deeper connection with the environment around them.

More than concepts and lessons, these sessions marked the beginning of awareness, responsibility, and small but meaningful actions – helping children learn how to protect themselves, care for their communities, and look after our planet together.

When children are equipped with knowledge and trust, they grow with the confidence to shape a safer, greener, and more sustainable world.

The series of activities is part of the "My Forest Child" project, jointly implemented by Save the Children and the Union of Friendship Organizations of Ca Mau in Tam Giang commune, Ca Mau province.
