WHEN TECHNOLOGY OPENS INSPIRING DOORS TO LEARNING

10 Mar 2026 Vietnam

In Dien Bien, Vietnam, the “Vui Đọc Cùng Em” (Happy Read) app - supported by structured teacher training and practical handbooks - is being effectively integrated into classrooms to enhance Vietnamese literacy and modernize teaching in line with the national curriculum.

From classrooms in the mountainous areas of Dien Bien, the “Vui Doc Cung Em” application is gradually becoming a familiar companion for teachers and students in Vietnamese language lessons. Following a scale up training programme for representative teachers and education managers from all primary schools across the province, as well as several schools from neighbouring provinces, the Dien Bien Department of Education and Training has continued to develop a series of handbooks guiding the integration of the “Vui Doc Cung Em” application, ensuring that technology is introduced into classrooms in a structured and effective way.

The handbook series includes five volumes corresponding to Grades 1 to 5, designed to reflect the learning characteristics of each age group. Each volume provides practical suggestions and step by step guidance to support teachers in integrating Vietnamese reading comprehension activities in line with the 2018 General Education Curriculum, contributing to the ongoing renewal of teaching and learning practices in schools.
