Launch of the 16 Days of Activism in Montepuez, Cabo Delgado

At the launch of the 16 Days of Activism campaign, Save the Children, in collaboration with district partners, carried out community activities in Montepuez, Cabo Delgado. The objective was to strengthen the prevention of and response to gender-based violence, with a focus on digital violence against girls and women. Activities included marches, theatre plays, and community dialogues.

On the day of the launch of the 16 Days of Activism campaign, Save the Children, in collaboration with the District Service of Health, Women and Social Action and other district partners, carried out community activities in the district of Montepuez, Cabo Delgado. 

The main objective of these actions was to strengthen the prevention of and response to gender-based violence, with a specific focus on the growing threat of digital violence against girls and women.

The activities developed were diverse and impactful, designed to involve the entire community. They included awareness marches, the presentation of educational theatre plays about risks, signs of violence and safe reporting, and the holding of important lectures and community dialogues with local leaders, young people and women's groups.
