Cambodia Pioneers New Era of Climate-Safe Schools: BRACE Project Launches with Green Climate Fund and Global Partnership for Education Support
Funded by the Green Climate Fund and the Global Partnership for Education, today, the Royal Government of Cambodia, through the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS), launched the BRACE project—a groundbreaking initiative to protect education from climate shocks. As Cambodia faces intensifying floods, droughts, and extreme heat, the education sector stands on the frontlines of the climate crisis.

NZ$12 MILLION INVESTMENT LAUNCHES GROWTH PROJECT IN CAMBODIA
PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA – December 02, 2025: A new NZD$12 million project designed to boost rural household incomes and ensure child well-being through climate-resilient horticulture was announced on November 29, 2025, at an event presided over by New Zealand’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, alongside Cambodia’s Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

Nearly 7,100 children in emergency child protection schemes at direct risk of harm due to global aid cuts
Save the Children and its partners run emergency programmes to protect children at high risk of child marriage, so-called honour killings, and other family violence as well as to protect children with suicidal ideation after surviving sexual violence, child recruitment or other trauma. Many of these children are unaccompanied without family support.
